LAMAR-Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Lamar First Christian Church for Bonnie Lorraine Johnston, 80, Lamar, who died suddenly at her home on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Rob Wilson officiated. Burial followed at 2 p.m., at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora.
Arrangements were under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar First Christian Church or American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Sittner, Pittsburg, Kan., Mark Sittner, Dallas, Texas, and Scott Sittner, Houston, Texas; a daughter, Kim Pilcher and husband Terry, Lamar; three grandchildren, Carolyn Sittner, Dallas, Texas and Zach and Jake Pilcher, Lamar, and a great-great-granddaughter, Annastasia Pilcher.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.
Mrs. Johnston was born Aug. 16, 1932, at Hill, Colo., to Chauncey D. and Olive V. (Spaulding) Sawyer. She was a 1949 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School.
She was a member of the Lamar First Christian Church, the Eastern Star – Mt. Hope Chapter 74 since 1961, and was the owner/operator of Bonnie’s Discount Store on the Lamar square for several years. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
She married Leroy “Pete” Lewis Sittner. He died in 1965.
