LIBERAL-A private funeral service has been planned for Amos Charles Barnhart, 48, Liberal, who died at his home on Monday, June 17, 2013. Family can be contacted for information.
Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar.

Survivors include his wife, Valerie, his son Bradley and fiancée Kimberly Smith, his niece Ashlynn, mother Patricia Studebaker of Neodesha, Kan., brother David Barnhart of Neodesha, Kan., sister Kathy Barks of Tyro, Kan., one nephew Clye, three nieces Brittany, Mindy and Holly and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a brother, Jimmy Barnhart.
Mr. Barnhart was born Oct. 16, 1964, at Fredonia, Kan., and attended high school at Neodesha, Kan. He married Valerie Ann Provence on May 23, 1992 at Independence, Kan., and together they raised their son Bradley and his niece Ashlynn. He worked as a cook at a nursing home, but was best known as a “Jack Of All Trades”.
