LAMAR-Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Crossway Baptist Church at 2900 North Barnes in Springfield for Betty Louise Edge, 82, Lamar, a former Springfield resident who died Thursday, July 4, 2013, at Truman Healthcare Center, where she had been a resident for the past month. A committal service will be held at 1 p.m., at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, south of Springfield.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time, at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pythian Avenue Baptist Church, in care of Daniel Funeral Home, 1201 Broadway, Lamar, Mo. 64759.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Edge, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Robbie Edge, Lamar; three granddaughters and their husbands, Shawna and Bert Phipps, Lamar, Sara and Danny Cawyer, Jasper, and Tara and Robert Littlejohn, Lamar, and eight great-grandchildren, Carlee and Tanner Phipps, Brianna, Laney, Ellie and Macey Cawyer, Payton and Koen Littlejohn.
She was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Kayden Littlejohn, as well as three other great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Edge was born June 6, 1931, at Battlefield, to Harry and Gladys (Perkins) Poole. She graduated from Springfield High School and had worked as a pricing clerk for O’Reilly Auto Parts for more than 25 years. She was a member of Pythian Avenue Baptist Church.
She married Bill Edge on Jan. 21, 1949 and they made their home and reared their son, Larry, in Springfield.
