LAMAR-Arrangements are pending with Daniel Funeral Home for Leona Pearl “Babe” Doyle, 88, Lamar, who died Saturday, July 6, 2013, at her home, following a battle with cancer.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Doyle family, to aid with funeral expenses.

Survivors include her caregiver grandson and his fiancé, Joe Manco and Shirley Ayers, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Art and Sharlene Doyle, Ceres, Calif.; two daughters, Jeannie and Pete Gordon, Eagle Point, Ore. and Eunice and John Lewis, White City, Ore.; grand and great-grandchildren, Atha Spurgeon, Lamar, Michael and Megan Manco, Springfield, John Manco, Lamar, Bill and Nina Evans and Debbie and Brian, all of Modesto, Calif., Jim and Tammy Medeiros, Eagle Point, Ore., Frankie Britt, Chowchilla, Calif., Nellie and Brenda Britt, Eagle Point, Ore., Jason Hare, Rehovot, Israel, Amanda Wright, Greenfield, Jason and Carol Manco, Lamar, Lee Doyle, Golden City, Carl Doyle and Alisha, Lamar, and Lisa Doyle, Lamar, as well as many great-great-grandchildren and a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Stahl; two sisters, Betty Gruver and Lucille Hughes; a son, Frankie Lee Doyle and a grandson, Max Ray Britt.
Mrs. Doyle was born Sept. 9, 1924, in Lamar, to Ira and Edna Stahl. She will be remembered for her hospitality and generosity toward family, friends or anyone needing assistance. She cleaned houses, provided childcare for countless youngsters and also worked at the Blue Top, as well as the donut shop.
She married Franklin John Doyle on April 3, 1942, at Pittsburg, Kan. He died Feb. 24, 1988.
