LIBERAL-A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Liberal City Cemetery for Eva Lorene Lewis, 92, Liberal, who died Friday, July 12, 2013, at Truman Healthcare in Lamar.
Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home, Lamar.

Survivors include a son, Duane Lewis and wife Nancy; two grandchildren, Tifani Young and husband Brian, Rathdrum, Idaho and Matthew Lewis and wife Sheri, Lorton, Va., and two great-grandchildren, McKenna and Hunter Young.
Mrs. Lewis was born Sept. 3, 1920, on the family farm in Lawrence County, to Elmer and Ruth (Lofgren) Durham. She was a graduate of Aurora High School. During World War II she was a “Rosie the Riveter”, working at the Pratt Whitney aircraft plant in Kansas City and during the Korean War at the Parsons Ammunitions Plant in Kansas. She and her husband farmed north of Liberal before moving to town. She was a Certified Respiratory Therapist and worked for the state hospital in Nevada until retirement in 1984. She was a quilter and quilted with the ladies of the Liberal United Methodist Church where she was a member.
She married Ralph Lewis on May 31, 1939, in Arcola. He died in 1991.
