PITTSBURG, Kan.-Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Lake Cemetery in Lamar, Mo. for Leta “Arlene” Wimsatt, 76, formerly of Lamar, who died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013 at Medicalodges Pittsburg South. Pastor Darin Youngberg will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home, Lamar, Mo.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Wimsatt, of the home; sons, Alan and wife Carol, Wheatland and Kevin, Republic; daughters, Kim and husband Rob Baake, Holden and Brenda and husband Marvin King, Galena, Kan.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bob Mayfield and wife Peg and Nuel Mayfield and wife Cindy; a sister, Nadine Sanders; a brother-in-law, Henry Wimsatt and wife Delores and an extended family.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Deanne Wimsatt; a daughter-in-law, Venice Marie Wimsatt; an infant grandson and a brother, Chuck Mayfield.
Mrs. Wimsatt was born Jan. 6, 1937, in Iantha, Mo., to Herman and Para (Harley) Mayfield. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church of Iantha.
She married Charles Melvin Wimsatt on Oct. 24, 1953, in Lamar, Mo.
