HARRISONVILLE-A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Dickey Funeral Home in Harrisonville for John H. Doubledee, 70, Harrisonville, who died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Archie Baseball or Archie Football programs.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Doubledee; seven children, Tim, Lisa, Tara, Holly, Willa Jo, Sarah and J.W. “Hoss”; six grandchildren; his mother, Juanda; a sister, Lois Reynolds and four brothers, Steve, Melvin, Lehigh and Michael.
He was preceded in death by his father, George.
Mr. Doubledee was born Feb. 7, 1943, in Phoenix, Ariz., to George Melvin and Juanda (Harrell) Doubledee. He lived his life in just about every county along the western border of Missouri, south of Kansas City. He coached youth baseball and softball and bowled. He worked in many occupations, retiring in 1997 from Thorco Manufacturing in Butler.
He was a lifelong member of the RLDS/Community of Christ Church, attaining the office of Elder.
He married Janet Strange in July of 1993.
