JASPER-A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Jasper Cemetery, southeast of Carthage, for Randall “Randy” Dean Seela, 53, Golden City, who died at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at Barton County Memorial Hospital in Lamar. Brother David Powell will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Pugh Funeral Home, Golden City.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Seela, Lance Seela, Kevin St. John, Michael Wolford, Brad Johnson, Travis Chorum and John McNary.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Seela, Jasper; two sons, Ryan Seela and wife Mandi and Lance Seela, both of Jasper; a granddaughter, Briley Noelle Seela; two brothers, Marvin Leroy Seela and wife Juanita, Carl Junction, and Russell Leon Seela and wife Rita, Springfield; a sister, Jean Ehrsam and husband Larry, Lamar, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Lloyd Eugene Seela.
Mr. Seela was born Aug. 26, 1959, at the Barton County Memorial Hospital in Lamar, to Raymond Eugene and Florence Alene (Thomas) Seela. He was a lifetime Golden City/Jasper area resident and was a 1977 graduate of Golden City High School. He was a farmer and was a lifetime NRA member. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Golden City.
He married Pamela Ann Stark on June 2, 1979, in Golden City.
