GOLDEN CITY-Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pugh Funeral Home for Nora “Pauline” Segi, 94, Golden City, who died at 5:25 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at the Springfield Rehabilitation and Health Center. Brother Tom Welch officiated. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tom Combs, Todd Connaway, Monty Dade, D.D. Duncan, Keith Duncan, Claude Howard and Tony Peterson.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of donor’s choice, in care of the funeral home.
Survivors include a son, Chuck Segi, Springfield; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Steve and Clifford Connaway; three brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Segi was born Jan. 19, 1919, in Kansas City, Mo., to Cornelius and Gertrude Elizabeth (Parrish) Waldron. She and her husband moved from Kansas City to Golden City in the 1950’s. In Golden City she was active in the Golden Triangle Club, the Junior Culture Club and the PTA. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Golden City.
She married Robert “Bob” Segi on Jan. 11, 1947, in Kansas City, Mo. He died April 23, 2006.
