LOCKWOOD-Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Lockwood First Baptist Church for John Robert Huser, 84, Lockwood, who died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, in Cox South Hospital in Springfield. Burial will be in Pippinger Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lockwood Funeral Chapel.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, at the funeral chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Boys and Girls Town of Missouri.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Huser; three sons, David and his wife Pamela, Mark and his wife Brenda and Matthew; a daughter, Joy and her husband Aaron; a brother, Lawrence Huser; a sister, Betty David; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Glen Alan; three brothers, Wilbur Huser, Frank Huser and Charlie Huser, and two sisters, Ada Merrill and Mabel Kaderly.
Mr. Huser was born June 20, 1929, in Syracuse, Kan., to Peter W. and Lily Ida (Gerber) Huser. He was a farmer for 50 years and a rural mail carrier for 20 years. He was a member of the Lockwood First Baptist Church.
He married Charlotte Giehmann on March 27, 1955, in Sarcoxie.
