KANSAS CITY, Mo.-A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Golden City for Jimmie L. Jacobs, 75, Kansas City, Mo., who died November 19, 2013.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055.

Survivors include two daughters, Becki Soebbing and husband John, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Debbi Kalberer and husband Doug, Overland Park, Kan.; three grandsons, Nate, Grant and Joe Kalberer; his companion, Janet Reeves; two brothers, Jack Jacobs and wife Betty and Johnny Jacobs and wife Michelle; a sister, Judy Boehm and husband Walter, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Ann Jacobs and a sister, Joyce Brueggemann.
Mr. Jacobs was born Nov. 20, 1937, in Sarcoxie and graduated from Golden City High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked at the Ford Claycomo plant for 40 years and retired in 2012.
He was a member of the UAW, American Legion Post No. 21, Eagles Lodge No. 385 and Moose Lodge N. 10 of Sugar Creek. He enjoyed boating and water skiing at Pomme d’Terre and Truman Lakes, bowling, growing tomatoes and dancing.
