LAMAR-A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church for Johanna Mathilde Mixon, 77, Lamar, who died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at her home, following a long illness. Rev. Galen Friedrichs will officiate. A private family burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Jasper.
Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Ron Mixon, of the home; two sons, Herbert and Donna Watson, Lamar and Alan and Lynette Watson, Lamar; two stepsons, Steven Mixon and Connie Rogers, Colorado Springs, Colo. and Charles and Denisha Mixon, Herford, Ariz.; three brothers, Carl Andes, Horst Andes and Erich Andes, all of Germany; five grandchildren, Meghan Watson, Tyler Brawley, Brandon Mixon, Jennifer Mixon and Sara Wiesly.
She was preceded in death by her first husband and a brother, Peter Andes.
Mrs. Mixon was born March 15, 1936, at Esslingen, Germany to Carl Andes and Marie (Zeh) Andes. She was a homemaker and a member of the Friendship Needle Club. She was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
She married Jimmy Watson in 1956 in Germany. He died Jan. 25, 1990. She married Ron Mixon on Oct. 21, 1991, at Mason City, Iowa.
