OSWEGO, Kan.-Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar, Mo. for Helen Margureite Foster, 90, who died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at Deseret Health and Rehabilitation of Oswego. Burial will be in Howell Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Carolyn Hutsell and husband Ken, Bullhead City, Ariz., Larry Foster and wife Debbie, Oswego, and Pam Coutu and husband Bob, Coventry, R.I.; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel McLaughlin, and a daughter, Phyllis Farley.
Mrs. Foster was born May 15, 1923, at Missouri Valley, Iowa, to Clyde and Frankie (Eberhart) Medlin. While most of her school years were spent at Milford, Mo., she moved with her family to the Irwin community and graduated from Lamar High School in 1941. She was a devoted farm wife, mother and grandmother who will be remembered for her hospitality and work ethic. While she enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing, her greatest pleasure was found in the fellowship of family and friends.
She married Floyd “Leo” Foster on April 4, 1942, at Mt. Vernon, Mo. They celebrated over 48 years together before his passing on Sept. 2, 1990.
