LAMAR-Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Konantz Warden Funeral Home for Waunita “June” Clements, 83, Lamar, who died Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Minister Mike Gage officiated. Burial was in Lake Cemetery.
Musical selections were “Amazing Grace” and “How Great Thou Art”. Pallbearers were Bud Maupin, Gary Fast, Kyle Fast, Matt Whyman, Trevor Maguire and Dan Whyman. Honorary pallbearers were Ray Little, Jim O’Neal, Larry Kuhn, Gary Frieden, Lyle “Bud” Clements, Dean Blaser, Kent Harris and Clark Harris.

Survivors include her husband, Joyce Clements, of the home; two daughters, Janet Maupin and husband Bud, Lamar and Jill Fast and husband Gary, Lamar; four grandchildren, Stacy Maguire and husband Trevor, Charlotte, NC, Julie Whyman and husband Dan, Lamar, Kyle Fast, San Francisco, Calif. and Samantha “Sammy” Fast, Joplin and four great-grandchildren, Lauren, Matt and Miles Whyman, Lamar and Jayden Maguire, Charlotte, NC.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Trula Mae Storm and Leo Storm and four nephews.
Mrs. Clements was born Sept. 13, 1930, in Lamar, to Manford and Amanda (Green) Burkhart.
She married Joyce Clements on Aug. 27, 1949 in Bentonville, Ark. and they were blessed with two daughters, rearing them in a loving Christian home. June took great delight with her family and friends. She loved to sew and was a member of the Vita Vota Extension Club and a longtime member of the Lamar First Christian Church.
