LAMAR-A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Oakton Cemetery for Anita Fern Crockett, 95, who died Monday, March 24, 2014, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Lockwood.

Visitation will be held at Daniel Funeral Home prior to the service, beginning at 3 p.m.


Memorial contributions may be made to Oakton Cemetery, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Crockett, Boaz, Ala. And Kenneth Crockett and wife Bonnie, Collins; a daughter, Lillian Barnes and husband Merlin, Olathe, Kan.; a daughter-in-law, Abigail Crockett, Lockwood; two brothers, Gerald Suiter and wife Louise, Lamar and Ray Suiter and wife Leona, Gladstone; a sister-in-law, Zedna Suiter, Arizona; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by a son, Bill Crockett; an infant daughter, Marilyn Crockett; two brothers, Donald Suiter and Ollie Suiter and a sister, Dorothy Wynn.


Mrs. Crockett was born March 3, 1919, at Lamar, to Charles Jacob and Clara Edna (Dickson) Suiter. She was a Mindenmines High School graduate. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of Nazarene in Mt. Vernon.


She married Linn Finley Crockett on June 29, 1943. He died Nov. 13, 2006.
