PITTSBURG, Kan.- Private family services will be held for LuEtta Braker, 92, who died Monday, May 11, 2012, at Carrington Place in Pittsburg.

Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar, Mo.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, at the funeral home.

Survivors include two sons, Roy Braker and wife Judy, Jasper, Mo. and Jerry Braker and wife Carol, Liberal, Mo.; two daughters, Elaine Knoblock and husband Terry, Larchwood, Iowa and Martha Kellenberger and husband Curt, Lamar, Mo.; one daughter-in-law, Janice Stoller and husband Bob, Liberal, Mo.; two sister-in-laws, Bonnie Braker, Lamar, Mo. and Alice Marti and husband Charles, Liberal, Mo.; 27 grandchildren and 73 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond in October of 2016; one sister, Corrine; two brothers, Merle and Harry and two sons, Dan and Paul Braker.

Mrs. Baker was born to Lou and Martha (Sommers) Marti on October 5, 1927, near Bern. After graduating from Bern High School in 1945 she worked in Sabetha, until her marriage to Raymond Braker on June 1, 1952. They made their home and farmed in Barton and Jasper counties for more than 60 years.

She and her husband moved to Carrington Place in Pittsburg in April of 2014.

She enjoyed many things about homemaking, including cooking, gardening and quilting. Time spent caring for her children and grandchildren brought great joy to her, but most of all she treasured her faith in God. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Faith Church.
