LESTER LLEWELLYN HEATH JR.

Services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar, for Lester Llewellyn Heath Jr., CWO4 (retired), who died Wednesday, May 13, 2020, after a long battle with mesothelioma cancer. Burial followed in St. James Cemetery in Milford, with full military honors.

Survivors include his present wife of 14 years, Beverly Brown Heath; a sister, Wayna Schwartz; three daughters, Rhonda Howell and husband Louis, Tamara Cole and husband Mike and Dawn Julian and husband Myrl, all of the Lamar area; one son, Wayne Heath of Wisconsin; two stepchildren, Eric Brown of Florida and Dr. Kim Fitterling of Bridgeton. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous other family members.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Dorothy Morris Heath (1975) and Beverly Selman Heath (2005) and a sister, Vesta Patrick.

He was a 1957 graduate of Lamar High School and joined the U.S. Navy, retiring after 32 years with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4. His love for the Navy never left him.
