DON HILDEBRAND

RURAL LAMAR- No services are being held for Donald Ernest Hildebrand, 76, rural Lamar, who died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, Oct. 23, 2020.

Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.

Surviving include his wife Christine, of the home; two sons, Jodie Hildebrand and wife Misty, Jasper, and Jamie Hildebrand, Golden City; a stepson, Jerry Avila, Lamar,; two daughters, Laura and Michelle, both of the state of Washington; one stepdaughter, Molly Myers, Galveston, Texas; one brother, Bob Hildebrand, Sunnyvale, Calif.; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hildebrand was born Jan. 23, 1944, in Ventura, Calif., to Floyd Jene and Mildred Frances (Larson) Hildebrand. He graduated from Hueneme High School in Port Hueneme, Calif. and received his degree in auto mechanics from Ventura College. On July 28, 1975, he married Christine Girard in Boise, Idaho. Before retiring he had worked as the service parts manager at Fletcher Dodge in Joplin. He also farmed for many years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting and had a natural talent to fix just about anything.
