LAMAR- Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Daniel Funeral Home for Leila Ellen Giger, 87, Lamar, who died Friday, Feb. 19, 2021, at Truman Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Lamar. Burial will follow in Sheldon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include one son, Richard Giger and Derelene Knight; six grandchildren, Dusty Giger, Josh Giger, Austin Phipps, Casey Phipps, Brent Phipps and Justin Braudaway and six great-grandchildren, Hannah Giger, Payton Giger, Tucker Giger, Baylee Giger, Trinity Phipps and Clark Phipps.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion; one daughter, Joyce Braudaway; one brother and two sisters.

Mrs. Giger was born Jan. 14, 1934, in Dade County, to James Henry Clark and Josephine Elizabeth (Feesell) Clark. She married Marion Lee Giger on Sept. 17, 1954, in Kenoma.

She was a housewife and worked at Big Smith, but her love was raising dogs for over 40 years. She sold dogs to the Hunte Corporation and won many awards for her breeds. She was also active in the Irwin 4-H.
