VERSAILLES- A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles for Donald U. Edgar, 85, Versalles, who died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021, at Eldon Nursing and Rehab. Pastor Blake Tiemann and David Edgar will officiate. Graveside services will follow in the Versailles Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 2 p.m.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Survivors include his children, Sherri Robert and husband Stan, Osage Beach, Larry Edgar and wife Leanne, Riverside and Lana Kennison and lifelong friend Vickie Benjamin, Oak Grove; grandchildren, Amber Roberts, Kendra Roberts and Rocky Edgar; great-grandson, Luke Edgar; brothers, David Edgar and wife Susie, Versailles, Oral Edgar and wife Jill, Gravois Mills and Timmy Edgar and wife Shelly, Eldon; sisters, Mabel Weicken and husband Raymond, Versailles, Naomi Miller and husband Rick, Otterville, Sandra Davenport and husband Harold, Russellville and Fern Brown and husband Kenneth, California, Mo. and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Jimmy Edgar, George Edgar, Paul Edgar, Johnny Edgar and Nancy Edgar.

Mr. Edgar was born Sept. 3, 1935, in Cuba, Mo., to Ural and Lena (Bland) Edgar.

He was united in marriage to Ina Mae Moritz on June 27, 1955. She died Oct. 13, 2019.

Mr. Edgar owned and operated Golden Business Forms for many years in Golden City.

He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. He was an avid Kansas City Royals and Chiefs fan. Most of all, he loved time spent with his grandchildren.
