BRUCE LEE FRIEDEN

LIBERAL- Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery in Lamar for Bruce Lee Frieden, 61, Liberal, who died Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, at his home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to the donor’s choice, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include four brothers, Ivan Frieden and wife Linda, Liberal and Ted Frieden and wife Debra, Rex Frieden and wife Vera and Tom Frieden and wife Tauna, all of Lamar; one sister, Vera Baer and husband Larry, Edelstein, Ill.; several nieces and nephews and Jonathan Bass and wife Amber and Nathan Bass and wife Michelle.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Edwin Frieden.

Mr. Frieden was born July 13, 9160, in Lamar, to Virgil M. Frieden and Bernice Katie (Braker) Frieden. He was a 1978 graduate of Liberal High School. He married Isa Gordon on March 14, 1980 and the marriage was dissolved in 1982. He partnered with Melba Bass, being the father figure for her boys, Jonathan and Nathan for 10 years.

He attended vo-tech for welding, working as a welder for many years, mostly for Butler Machine. He also worked for Orlan Kellenberger until 2010, when he returned to the Frieden Farm, working with his brothers.
