WEBB CITY- Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar, for Charles "Charlie" Lynn Williams, 71, Webb City, who died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, Okla. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lamar.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., today (Wednesday), at Harmony Heights Christian Church in Joplin.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to Charlie 22 Outdoors, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Maymie; one daughter, Casey Kirschner and husband Kody, Neosho; three sons, Norman Wheelen and wife Lisa, Oronogo, Marty Wheelen, Joplin and Greg Wheelen and wife Debbie, Republic; six grandchildren, Kenzee Kirschner, Neosho, Courtney Munch, Webb City, Seth Wheelen, Webb City, Carlie Wheelen, Columbus, Kan., Montana Wittenmyer, Galena, Kan. and Jake Wheelen, Galena, Kan.; four great-grandchildren, Addy Wheelen, Webb City, Lily Wheelen, Webb City, Haley Longan, Pittsburg, Kan. and Nolan Munch, Webb City and two great-great grandchildren, Brenlee Longan and Sawyer Munch.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Chase Kirschner and a brother, Mike Williams.

Mr. Williams was born Sept. 18, 1950, in Elaine, Ark., to Burl Williams and Ethyl Doris (Brown) Williams. He married Maymie Arlena Hollingsworth on April 28, 1978, in Miami, Okla.

He retired from Midway Lumber in Joplin after 26 years. He served in the United States Navy from 1969 to 1972 and then served in the Navy Reserves for 10 years after that. He was an avid Lamar Tigers, K.C. Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals fan.
