Sheldon graduates 13 seniors on Friday the 13th

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger The Sheldon Class of 2022 participated in commencement exercises and an awards/scholarship ceremony held Friday evening, May 13, at the school gym. Co-salutatorians were Madison Garren and Matthew Kirbey, followed by guest speaker Carolyn Compton, then valedictorian Destiny Brokob. Following the receiving of their diplomas and the presentation of the class, graduates sat on the edge of the stage as they enjoyed a slide show of their school career. The slide show ended with a dedication to Hannah Rose Marie Lamb who passed in 2013. After the recessional, graduates gathered in the back of the gym for the tossing of their caps, in observance of all their hard work having paid off.

She plans on playing volleyball or basketball next year. Her favorite subjects are Social Studies and Reading, because both teachers make it a lot of fun while they teach.
