LAMAR- Services in Kansas are being planned at a later date for Cora “Corky” Alma Nesbitt, 91, Lamar, who died Thursday, May 19, 2022.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home.

Survivors include a sister, Paula Yeager, Lamar; a daughter, Shannon Turner, Parsons, Kan.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a niece, Regina Rogers, Lamar and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Goldie Myers, Eldon Rogers, Donald Rogers, Dean Rogers, Eva Boyd, Sharon Irwin and Robert Rogers; a grandson, Levi Rogers and a great-grandson, Landis Wolken.

Mrs. Nesbitt was born Oct. 23, 1930, in Garnett, Kan., to Naomi (Ashburn) and Clothe Rogers. As a child she moved to Lamar, where she lived until she was a young adult. She moved around in her adult life, living in a variety of places including Erie, Kan., Chanute, Kan., Springfield and Clinton, before settling in Lamar. She enjoyed crafting yarn hangers, quilting and coloring in her coloring books. She loved her family. She was stubborn, comical and a sweetheart with a giving heart.
