IRWIN- No services are planned at this time for Paul Cameron Hurlburt, 93, Irwin, who died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023, following a long battle with kidney failure.

Arrangements were under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home, Lamar.

Survivors include a son, Michael Bruce Hurlburt, Sheldon; two daughters, Debora Castle and husband Scott, Sheldon and Barbara Wickware and husband Steve, Pelsor, Ark.; one sister, Patricia Hurlburt, Sheldon; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Whittaker and husband John, John Rawlings, Jason Rawlings and wife Tonya, Erik Hurlburt, Jeff Hurlburt, Lauren Hurlburt, Casey Castle and Erin Rivero and husband Lance Stoltzfus; seven great-grandchildren, Jordan and James Whittaker, Cameron and Jazmine Rawlings, Logan and Breanna Rawlings, Drake Hurlburt and Kyrra Hurlburt and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his spouse of 72 years, Geneva, who died November 10, 2022, and five siblings, Vivian Clark, Mildred “Mitzi” Knox, Elsie Lewis, Harley Hurlburt and Howard Hurlburt.

Mr. Hurlburt was born Aug. 28, 1929, in Denver, Colo., to Tracy Cameron and Naomi Morris Hurlburt. He married Geneva Piearcy on Oct. 26, 1950, and together they had three children.

Mr. Hurlburt served in the Army from 1950 to 1953 with the C Battery 32nd North American Air Command. He was a carpenter by trade. He moved to Irwin from Brighton, Colo. in August of 1969, where he raised cattle and continued his carpentry and construction work.
