LAMAR- A private funeral service will be held for Pauline Frances Brous, 93, Lamar, who died Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at Nevada Nursing and Rehab. She will be buried next to her husband in Oakton Cemetery.

Friends may pay their respects and sign the guest book on July 14-16, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Daniel Funeral Home.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to Living Hope Church of The Nazarene, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include four sons, Jim Brous and wife Robyn, Springfield, Calvin Brous and wife Bonnie, Liberal, Dan Brous and Ken Brous and wife Robin, Lamar; three daughters, Karen Hardy and husband Greg, Liberal, Barbara Moore and husband Greg, Jackson, Tenn. and Staci Scarberry and husband Rick, Lamar; 23 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Brous in 2009, two brothers, two sisters and a granddaughter, Lori Lynn King on April 16, 1967.

Mrs. Brous was born September 9, 1926, in Webb City, to James David Capp and Oma Rebecca (Smith) Capp. She married Jack B. Brous at Girard, Kan. on October 27, 1944 and together they had seven children. She worked at Big Smith for over 20 years, was a contract mail transporter for over 37 years, at Roger's Lures & Tackle and was a cook at Marti's Cafe. She was a member of Living Hope Church of the Nazarene for over 76 years where she served as the church treasurer for many years.
