GOLDEN CITY- Private family services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at Lockwood Cemetery for Michael Henry Kahre, 64, Golden City, who died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020, at his home.

Arrangements were under the direction of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be sent to the funeral chapel at 61 N. Allison, Greenfield, MO 65661, to be given to 3 Rivers Hospice and Life Choices.

Survivors include three daughters, Ryann Cummings and husband Jason, Tuttle, Okla., Jodi Tackett, Clever and Allison Kreifels and husband Cody, St. Joseph; five grandchildren, Dylan and Kyndell Cummings, Hannah and Campbell Tackett and Carter Kreifels; his mother, Mary Kahre, Lockwood; two brothers and their wives, Tim and Peggy Kahre, Mt. Vernon and Rick and Pam Kahre, Nashville, Tenn., and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Kahre.

Mr. Kahre was born Dec. 28, 1955, and was a 1974 graduate of Lockwood High School. He was the oldest of Raymond and Mary Kahre’s three sons and spent his youth helping at the family’s dairy farm. He spent his life driving a semi-truck across the United States, hauling everything imaginable. He was an active member of the Jasper Christian Church. He never knew a stranger and always had a story to tell.
