LENA MAE FANNING

LOCKWOOD- Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the I.O.O.F. First Christian Church Cemetery for Lena Mae Fanning, 83, Lockwood, who died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2020, at the Good Shepherd Community Care and Rehabilitation Facility.

Arrangements are under the direction of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Shepherd Community Care and Rehabilitation Facility.

Survivors include four daughters, Ima Jean Probert and husband Tom, Kathy Fanning, Becky Ritchey and husband Chuck and Tonie Probert and husband Victor; two granddaughters, Amanda Harris and husband Jeff and Hannah Shaw and husband Travis; one great-granddaughter, Blakely Shaw; five brothers, Dewey Patterson and wife Joanne, Larry Patterson and wife Janice, Teddy Patterson, Jerry Patterson and wife Carol and Leon Patterson and wife Carol; one sister, Leta Hutton and husband Harold Ray and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Fanning; one son, Michael Fanning; one granddaughter, Christy Leana and one sister-in-law, Paulette Patterson.

Mrs. Fanning was born Dec. 15, 1936, in Lamar, to Dewey and Roberta (Gardner) Patterson. She was a 1955 graduate of Lockwood High School. She was united in marriage to Delbert “Bud” Fanning on May 15, 1955. She retired from Prairie Mountain Screening as an embroidery room worker in 2012. She worked at the Lockwood hospital for many years as a food service supervisor and received her degree to be a dietary technician.

Mrs. Fanning loved to collect Coca-Cola memorabilia. She loved to cook and was a fantastic cook of mac and cheese, her daughter’s favorite. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She will be extremely missed.
