NEVADA, Mo.- Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada for Lonnie Ray Beisley, 49, Nevada, who died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020, at Medicalodges of Nevada, from his courageous battle with ALS. Chaplain Kenny Batson will officiate. Burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery in Milo, with Bob Wood officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested in his memory to Peterson Outdoor Ministries, Lodge of Hope, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include his mother, Bonnie Beisley, Sheldon; two sisters, Terri Starbuck and Bruce Hamlett, Milo and Cindi Louderback and husband Kelly, Lamar; two brothrs, Scott Beisley and wife Sally, Harwood and Russell Beisley ad wife Lesley, Sheldon; one daughter, Samantha Karnes, Oklahoma; one stepdaughter, Aerial Lingenfelser; three grandchildren, Leon, A.J. and Emma; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert N. Beisley; a brother, Mark G. Beisley; a sister, Rebecca S. Beisley; a granddaughter, Eleyna Lingenfelser and a niece, Shyla Brannan.

Mr. Beisley was born Nov. 18, 1970, in Nevada, to Herbert N. and Bonnie L. (Milligan) Beisley. He grew up in Nevada and was a 1989 graduate of Nevada High School.

He worked most of his life in the Vernon County area, having worked for a time at Guthrie Motors and was a truck driver for several years. He traveled the United States for a period of time with Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Fishing Tournaments. Most recently he worked at Mark Peterson Farms in Liberal for a number of years before retiring in 2018 due to his illness.

He was a huge Pittsburg Steelers fan. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR, collecting Dale Earnhardt memorabilia, hunting and especially spending time with his family.
