COVID-19 update

As of 12 noon on Wednesday, Dec. 2, the Barton County Health Department reported the total number of positive COVID-19 cases in Barton County at 528, with 24 active cases and 504 recovered. To date there have been four deaths, according to the health department; however a fifth death has been recorded by the Show Me Recovery website so further information should be forthcoming.

The health department encourages everyone to take precautions to help slow the spread. Please wash hands often, do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands, cover coughs and sneezes, wear a mask appropriately when you cannot stay six feet away from people who do not live in your home and please stay home if you are sick, think you have allergies, a sinus infection or any respiratory symptoms.
