Robert Thomas, son of Melissa Kennon, is the sixth grade Lamar Middle School Student of the Week. Robert has a sister named Naveah and a dog named Roo. He likes Science and Social Studies. When Robert is not in school he likes to worship at church.

She plans on playing volleyball or basketball next year. Her favorite subjects are Social Studies and Reading, because both teachers make it a lot of fun while they teach.

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger A total of $3600 was raised at the car and jeep show held Saturday, April 13, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Lamar Christian Church Parking lot, with proceeds to benefit the new Barco Drive-In screen tower. Pictured are, left to right, Lamar Bank & Trust President Pat O’Neal, Barco Drive-In Theatre fundraiser director Landin Myers and representing the Plaza/Barco and Lamar Community Betterment, Scott Kelley. Anyone wishing to donate can do so at the bank, or drop it by the Plaza Theatre on the south side of the square.
