No date received as to COVID-19 vaccine

January 08, 2021

The Barton County Health Department (BCHD) has not yet been given a date to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. They will post updates as information becomes available.

In the meantime, they encourage individuals to watch for signs and symptoms of illness, stay home if sick, cover coughs/sneezes with a tissue then throw it away, practice social distancing, wear a mask when social distancing is difficult or impossible, wash your hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds, use alcohol-based hand rub if soap/water are not available and do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.

If anyone comes in contact with a positive COVID-19 case, quarantine at home away from others and call the health department for more information.

Anyone testing positive for COVID-19 should quarantine at home, away from others, until their test results are known.

If anyone tests positive they should isolate at home away from others and call the Barton County Health Department at (417) 682-3363 or their local health department if one resides outside of Barton County.
