GOLDEN CITY- Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Weng Funeral Chapel in Jasper for Erma Lee McGuire, 94, Golden City, who died Thursday, May 6, 2021, at St. Luke’s Nursing Center in Carthage. Burial will follow in Dudenville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, at the funeral chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Dudenville Cemetery, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include two sons, Robert McGuire and wife Vicky, Monett and Randy McGuire, Golden City; two daughters, Reta Elliott and husband Robert and Raema Manka, both of Golden City; one brother, Gary Kentner, Seattle, Wash.; one sister, Mary Gayle Lowler, The Colony, Texas; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. McGuire was born Jan. 21, 1927, in Barton County, to Lyman and Eva (Hastings) Kentner. She was a homemaker and a member of the Dudenville United Methodist Church. She was active in the Avilla Methodist Church since the closing of the Dudenville Church.

She married David McGuire on Nov. 30, 1947. He died May 13, 2003.
