LAMAR- Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Milford Christian Church for David Douglas Kincaid, 79, Lamar, who died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Linda; daughter, Tammy Morrison and husband Darren, Lamar; grandsons, Brayden David Morrison, Jacob Douglas Morrison and Elijah Todd Morrison; siblings, Charles Kincaid and wife Marilyn, Independence and Margaret Craig and husband Jack, Coleman, Fla. and many other nieces and nephews, family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Arthur Kincaid, Elizabeth Waters, Robert Kincaid, Jerome Kincaid, Paul Kincaid, Warren Kincaid and Richard Kincaid.

Mr. Kincaid was born June 9, 1942, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Arthur and Ruth (Basore) Kincaid. He grew up in the Milford area , attending Round Prairie Schools. He was a 1961 graduate of Lamar High School. After graduation he joined the Navy, where he served from 1961-1965 during the Vietnam War.

He married Linda Swearingen on March 4, 1967 and they resided in the Kansas City area. He was employed by Tension Envelope, retiring in 2003 after 38 years. He and his wife then moved back to “Horse Creek” (Milford), where he farmed.

He believed that family came first and was very involved in the lives of his grandchildren. After being baptized in 1967, he was very active in the church. He served as a deacon for many years, as well as working with the youth and being on various church committees.

He was a member of the VFW in Lamar and in Jasper. He was also a member of the Golden City Lions club.
