RALPH “WRECKER RALPH” BREWER

GOLDEN CITY- A memorial service will be held at a later date for Ralph Edward “Wrecker Ralph”, 65, Golden City, who died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021. Per his wishes, he was cremated.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations would be appreciated by the family, in order to help with expenses in the coming weeks.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Brewer; a brother, Joe Brewer; one son, Lyle Brewer and wife Stephanie; three daughters, Marcie Dickerson and husband Shannon, Johnnie Taylor and husband Jeff and Robin Colin and husband Jason; 20 grandkids; nine great-grandkids; two nieces and one nephew and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Brewer.

Mr. Brewer was born Aug. 8, 1956, in Hawarden, Iowa, to Lyle John and Phyllis Jean (Dewey) Brewer. He was a 1974 graduate of Golden City High School. He married Anna Sue Pettengill on Aug. 20, 1984 and they had just celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary.

Ralph worked construction, automotive and owned a well known salvage yard for 40 years. He was also a devoted member of the IOOF and was the youngest member in Missouri when he joined. He was a friend to everybody and was always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need.

After his stroke in 2018, he found God again and was baptized. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Golden City.
