NATHANIEL SCOTT BROOKS

BIG TIMBER, Montana- Graveside services will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, at Shiloh Cemetery in Liberal, Mo., for Nathaniel Scott Brooks, 35, Big Timber, who died Friday, Sept. 10, 2021.
Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar, Mo.
Contributions are suggested and made payable to ECHCS (Veterans Affairs Eastern Colorado Health Care System) or to Lamar Bank and Trust (where a fund has been set up for his son, Israel) in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include a son, Israel Brooks, Peru; his parents, Rob and Tammy Brooks; two brothers, Trampas and wife Leisa, Mt. Vernon, Mo. and Ryan Brooks, Miami, Fla.; three nieces; one nephew; one great-nephew; two great-nieces and several uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elmer and Shorty Bailey; his parents grandparents, Doc and Wuanita Brooks and two aunts.
Mr. Brooks was born May 28, 1986, in Joplin, Mo., to Rob and Tammy Lynn (Bailey) Brooks. He served in the United States Army 10th Mountain Division for four years and was a cook for a high end restaurant before his passing. He was a member of the Military Order of Purple Heart and the VFW.
