Tigers dominate award selections for Big 8 Conference

The Lamar Tigers dominated the award selections on both offense and defense. They are as follows: Jared Beshore- Coach of the Year; Offense: Tucker Torbeck- Unanimous 1st team tackle, Jake Polodna- 1st team tackle, Ryan Davis- 1st team guard, Logan Crockett- 1st team running back, Austin Wilkerson- 2nd team running back, Mason Gastel- Unanimous 1st team receiver, Riley Heckadon- Honorable mention receiver, Trace Willhite- 1st team tight end, Joel Beshore- 2nd team quarterback, Terrill Davis- Honorable mention all purpose back andJose Juarez- Honorable mention place kicker; Defense: Austin Wilkerson- Defensive player of the year, Trace Willhite- Unanimous 1st team defensive end, Tyson Williams- 2nd team defensive end, Michael Mills- Unanimous 1st team defensive tackle, Matthew Nance- Unanimous 1st team linebacker, Khiler Nance- 1st team linebacker, Cameron Sturgill- Honorable mention linebacker, Austin Wilkerson- Unanimous 1st team defensive back, Joel Beshore- Unanimous 1st team defensive back, Mason Gastel- 1st team defensive back, Riley Heckadon- 2nd team defensive back, Ian Ngugi- Honorable mention kick returner.

Lamar Tigers dominate Jasper
The SW Select basketball team ended their season by winning the Kansas State Championship with a record of 21-1 in three tournaments, plus Kansas State.
