MARY LOUISE KUHN

LAMAR- A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Daniel Funeral Home for Mary Louise Kuhn, 82, Lamar, who died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to either the Barton County Library, the Barton County Humane Society or the St. Joseph Indian School, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Betty Kuhn, Lamar; five nieces, Sherie Smith and husband Michael, Bokoshe, Okla., Kim Kuhn, Richmond, Va. and her now deceased husband Fletcher Wyche, Michelle Kuhn, Kilauea, Hawaii, Christy Alberty and husband Paul, Olathe, Kan. and Amy Kuhn, Joplin; four nephews, Bill Ainsworth and wife Shelley and Jim Ainsworth and wife Mittie, all of Bokoshe, Okla., Mark Kuhn and wife Hazel, Enterprise, Ala. and Jacob Kuhn, Milford and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one sister, Shelba Dean Ainsworth and one great-nephew, Cadon Kuhn.

Mrs. Kuhn was born June 18, 1939, in Ft. Smith, Ark., to William Lavern Fesperman and Martha Lavern (Stinnett) Fesperman. She graduated from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Okla. with a Bachelors Degree. On June 2, 1962, she married Larry Lloyd Kuhn in Bokoshe, Okla.

She worked as a school teacher, teaching both English and Physical Education. She was a member of the Master Gardeners, Missouri Teacher’s Association and the Civil War Reenactment.
