LOCKWOOD- Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Lamar for Connie Sue Stump, 72, Lockwood, who died Saturday, Jan. 87, 2022, at her home. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lamar.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include one daughter, Tammy Engle and husband Jon, Liberal and one son, Darren Stump, Lockwood; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Earl Robinson and wife Wanda, Nevada, Mo. and one sister, Della Robinson, Springfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Kevin Stump; one daughter, Kathy Stump and two brothers, Darrell Robinson and Gary Trent.

Mrs. Stump was born July 7, 1949, in Lamar, to Marion and Marie (Elliff) Trent. She was a 1967 graduate of Lamar High School. She married Calvin Eugene Stump on July 9, 1967, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Lockwood.

She worked as a bank teller for US Bank for 15 years, was a homemaker and a farmer's wife. She was the treasurer of Round Grove Cemetery and treasurer of the First Baptist Church of Lamar. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed quilting for others as well. She loved her church and was always volunteering wherever needed, especially with the Meals on Wheels program, but her passion were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
