KANSAS CITY, Mo.- Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3, for Helen Margaret Marlow, 92, Kansas City, who died Friday, Dec. 24, 2021, at 3:41 p.m., at Northcare Hospice House in North Kansas City, Mo. A private burial was at Glenridge Cemetery in Liberty.

Arrangements were under the direction of Park Lawn Northland Chapel.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research or Convey of Hope.

Survivors include her children, Joseph Keith Marlow, Susan Kristine Beck and husband Thomas, Paula Kathleen Andrews and husband Millard and Patrick Kent Marlow and wife Charlene; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way; numerous great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Roma Charlton and husband Dale, Ruby Richmond, Alice Overstreet and husband Charles, Lloyd Richmond and wife Vernice, Muriel Peterson and husband Gerald, Bill Richmond and wife Katie and Sherry Kaye Prettyman and husband Clem.

Mrs. Marlow was born Dec. 18, 1929, in Barton County, to Sadie Belle (Talbott) and Emmett Richmond. She was a graduate of Liberal High School. She married Howard Nelson Marlow on Jan. 12, 1948. He died Nov. 22, 2018.

She was a member of the Eastern Star. She also loved to play the guitar, piano, autoharp and just about any instrument she picked up.
