JUNE GRAY

LAMAR- Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Konantz Warden Funeral Home for June Rose (Mitts) Gray, 77, Lamar, who died Monday, June 27, 2022.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the American Heart Association.

Survivors include her niece, Sherry Jenkins and husband Skip, Nevada, Mo.; nephew, Stan Farmer and wife Susie, Jefferson City; nephew, Ken Davis, Froelich, Iowa; nephew, Frank Unertl, Pella, Iowa; niece, Debbie Mason and husband Garry, Harrisonville and nephew, Bill Griffitt, Lamar, along with many other nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; infant daughters, Nancy Ann Gray and Mary Jane Gray and all of her siblings, Stan Mitts, Bill Mitts, Pearl Felarski, Lurlene Davis, Creda Unertl and Louise Farmer.

Mrs. Gray was born June 25, 1945, in Lamar, to Stanley and Lucy (Bourquin) Mitts. She married Gary Gray on Feb. 5, 1962, in Liberal and they remained married for 45 years until his death in 2007. They lived in Belton and Sheldon. Mrs. Gray moved to Nevada, Mo. in 2020 to be closer to family. She worked as a custodian for many years for Marion Laboratories in Kansas City.

Mrs. Gray did not graduate from high school but attained her GED in 1977. This is a feat of which she was very proud. She was a member of the Milford Christian Church. She loved her pastor and church family and missed being able to attend services after her health declined. She was also a member of Mo-Kan Squares square dance club and enjoyed her time dancing with them as well.
