BRIAN GILBERT

Brian died after a hard fought battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years Gwen Gilbert; his mother Wilma Gilbert; brothers Mark Gilbert and wife Rhonda, Greg McGuire and wife Debbie and Zach McGuire and sister Becky McGuire; nieces Mandy Winefeldt and husband Mickael, Carissa Mourning and husband Zhan, Mallori Sweeney and husband Tyler; nephews Zach Glossip, Chris McGuire and wife Amber, Derek McGuire and wife Jenny, Bryce McGuire and wife Kayla and Daniel Lee; great-nieces and nephews Raven, Brett, Penny, River, Silas, Lily and Archer and a host of other family members.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Gilbert; a nephew, Jacob Gilbert and a beloved cousin, Kevin Cowley.

Brian was a member of First Baptist Church Lamar, Grace Place Church of Lamar and played guitar for the worship teams at both churches. He enjoyed spending time with family, camping, fishing, baseball, coaching baseball, Upward basketball and was an avid Kansas Chiefs fan.
