ARMA, Kan.- A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Liberal City Cemetery in Liberal, Mo., for Patricia Sue Rea, 80, Arma, who died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home, Lamar, Mo.

Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be sent to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.

Survivors include two grandsons, Michael Morris and Jody Morris; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Velma Spurling and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie; three children, Jackie Jr., Anna Marie and Burton Dean; a sister, Erma Jo Fields; her brother-in-law, Bill Fields; a brother, Vernon Riley and a grandson, John Morris.

Mrs. Rea was born April 3, 1942, near Liberal, to Burton and Elberta (Beasley) Riley. She completed 11th grade at Liberal High School. She married Jackie Rea on July 3, 1959. She lived a short time in Carterville, where she worked at Elden Shirt Factory. She also lived a short time in Long Beach, Calif. and Yuma, Ariz. She returned to Liberal, Mo., where she remained until she went to Truman Nursing Home in Lamar, Mo., while her husband was there. After he died, she moved to Arma Healthcare and Rehab, until her death. She had loving care there from her great niece, April Ragan, the RA charge nurse. April was with her when she died.

Mrs. Rea liked to read, play cards, fish and camp. She was also a good cook who made ice cream and noodles, as well as many other tasty dishes.
