LAMAR- Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Lamar for Connie Sue Duncan, 79, Lamar, who died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. Pastor Robb Hodson will officiate. Burial will be at Pippenger Cemetery in Golden City.

The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 1 p.m.

Survivors include five brothers, Willy Duncan and wife Brenda, Stockton, Danny Duncan and Edith Kimbrough, Jasper, D.D. Duncan and wife Lois, Lamar, Don Duncan and wife Nancy, Lamar and Tinker Duncan and wife Pat, Lamar; one sister, Carolyn McManis and husband Bob, Lamar and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald and Wayne and two nephews, Jeremy Shane Duncan and Robbie Duncan.

Ms. Duncan was born Nov. 26, 1942, in Lamar, to Loren William and Leota (Hurrell) Duncan.

She lived in the Barton County area all of her life and attended school in Golden City, graduating with the Class of 1960. She was employed by O’Sullivan Industries for 43 years as a secretary for Stores To Office. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards and going to casinos.
