NOTICE OF ELECTION FILING DATES

FOR LAMAR R-1 BOARD OF EDUCATION MEMBERS

The Lamar R-I School District encourages qualified persons interested in running for a position on the school board to file to be a candidate in the April 4, 2023, election. Interested persons may file at the superintendent's office located at 202 W 7th Street, Lamar, MO 64759.

Filing will begin on December 6, 2022, at 8:00 a.m. and will continue during the district's regular business hours, which are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Filing will not occur on days that the school district's central office is closed due to inclement weather. Filing will also not occur on the following dates when the school district's central office is closed; December 21, 2022 through December 26, 2022. Filing will end on December 27, 2022, where the district office hours will be 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

There are 3 seats available with three-year terms. Board members whose terms expire are Brian Griffith, Christy Heins, and Justin Ogden
