Liberal school learns of Smart Choices for Life
The Barton County Backyard Laying Hen workshop was held Saturday, May 10, at the Wolf Center in Lamar. Twenty-eight adults and youth were involved with the program where they learned basic information that was provided free of charge to those attending.

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger Lisa Alexander, president of CoxHealth Foundation, spoke to a group of medical and community members that were at Cox Barton County Hospital on Thursday morning, May 8. She was followed with CoxHealth System Senior Vice President William Mahoney and Dr. Charles Fielding. The Barton County Chamber of Commerce members then gathered with hospital representatives, to perform a ribbon cutting.
