Avery Eddie, daughter of Nate and Ellen Eddie, is the sixth grade Lamar Middle School Student of the Week. Avery loves riding her horses, organizing and watching KU basketball. She participates in volleyball, basketball and rodeo. She has three horses and a dog. Her favorite subject is Math.

She plans on playing volleyball or basketball next year. Her favorite subjects are Social Studies and Reading, because both teachers make it a lot of fun while they teach.

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger A total of $3600 was raised at the car and jeep show held Saturday, April 13, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Lamar Christian Church Parking lot, with proceeds to benefit the new Barco Drive-In screen tower. Pictured are, left to right, Lamar Bank & Trust President Pat O’Neal, Barco Drive-In Theatre fundraiser director Landin Myers and representing the Plaza/Barco and Lamar Community Betterment, Scott Kelley.
