This black bear swam across the lake just to visit a Canada bait site, a daily replenished pile of fish guts. At such a site it was easy to get bear photos. But easier still in the evenings at a local Indian reservation dump, which usually attracted up to six to eight bears. The last two are Arkansas photos.

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger A total of $3600 was raised at the car and jeep show held Saturday, April 13, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Lamar Christian Church Parking lot, with proceeds to benefit the new Barco Drive-In screen tower.
