MOORE, Okla.- A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Oakton United Methodist Church in Lamar, Mo. for Danny Eugene Brous, 69, Moore, formerly of Lamar, Mo., who died Monday, March 20, 2023.

Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar, Mo.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.

Survivors include three sons, Chris Brous, Matt Brous and Justin Brous and wife Melissa, Moore; one daughter, Krystle Roby and husband Trent, Lamar, Mo.; four grandchildren, Trinity Roby, Tyler Roby, Temperance Roby and Myla Brous; three brothers, Jim Brous and wife Robyn, Springfield, Mo., Calvin Brous and wife Bonnie, Liberal, Mo. and Kenny Brous and wife Robin, Lamar, Mo.; one brother-in-law, Greg Hardy, Liberal, Mo.; two sisters, Barbara Moore and husband Greg, Jackson, Tenn. and Staci Scarberry and husband, Rick, Lamar, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Pauline Brous and one sister, Karen Hardy.

Mr. Brous was born Aug. 27, 1953, in Lamar, Mo., to Jack Brous and Pauline (Capp) Brous. He was a graduate of Lamar High School.

He was a member of the National Guard and retired as a carrier for the Joplin Globe newspaper.

He enjoyed sports, especially football (his favorite team was the Green Bay Packers) and golf. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed training Clydesdale pulling horses and splitting wood.
