AUDRA ARETTA CRAYNE
JERICO SPRINGS- Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Jerico Springs Methodist Church for Audra Aretta Crayne, 88, Jerico Springs, who died Monday, Sept. 18, 2023. Burial will follow in Greenfield Cemetery in Jerico Springs.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bland-Brumback Funeral Home, Stockton.
Survivors include four children, Cathy Salyer, Jerico Springs, Jeanie Roe, Springfield, Stephen Salyer and wife Dana, Jerico Springs and Lori Payne and husband Todd, Lamar; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; a dear friend, Margaret Osborne and many cousins and close friends.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, one infant granddaughter, one infant great-granddaughter, one infant great-great-grandson and her fur baby, Mia.
Mrs. Crayne was born Nov. 8, 1934, in Jerico Springs, to William Kirbey Crayne and Flossie Azella (Brasher) Crayne. She was welcomed home by her three big brothers, Lorin, Charles and Meredith. She was a 1952 graduate of Stockton High School.
She married John Philip Salyer in June 1952 and they welcomed four children. She retired from 35 years at Finley Engineering in Lamar. She enjoyed going to Silver Dollar City in Branson, enjoying rides and country music shows. She enjoyed traveling and seeing many places with her cousins, Marilyn and Barbara. She got to take a cruise when her granddaughter, Megan, took her to the Bahamas.
She was a devoted Christian and very active in her church.
